What this actually is
Protected algorithm distribution.
GhostTrader builds proprietary quantitative trading systems, validates them statistically, and licenses access so clients can run them on their own accounts. The logic is never handed over. What you buy is the right to run the system, not ownership of the intellectual property behind it.
What it is
- Proprietary quantitative systems, built and validated in house
- Protected distribution: you run the algorithm on your own account
- Your capital stays in your account, under your control, at your broker
- A subscription for access, plus a profit split only where it applies
What it is not
- A course, a mentorship, or a signal group
- Strategy logic, indicators, or source code you receive and keep
- Pooled investor capital or a managed fund
- A promise that you will make money
01Why this is not a course
A course seller monetises information. They are paid once, before you know whether any of it works, and once you have the material their involvement is over. Nothing about their income depends on your results.
This is the opposite arrangement. Nothing that would let you reconstruct the edge ever changes hands, and the subscription only continues while the system is still worth running. If it stops working you cancel, and that lands on us immediately. That is not a claim about intent. It is how the model is built.
| Course or mentorship | Signal group | Typical algo seller | GhostTrader | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What changes hands | Information, which is yours forever | Alerts you copy by hand | A file containing the logic | Licensed access to run a system |
| Who owns the edge afterwards | You, and everyone you tell | Them, until it leaks | You, and anyone you send the file to | Us. The logic never leaves |
| When they get paid | Once, before you know if it works | Monthly, whatever the results | Once, up front | Monthly, only while you keep it running |
| Exposure if it stops working | None. Already paid | Low. Alerts still send | None. Already paid | Immediate. You cancel |
| What you can verify first | Testimonials | Screenshots | A results image | Every trade in the record, on this site |
The criticism is worth aiming somewhere, though. Plenty of algorithms are sold on a single screenshot with no sample size, no regime testing, no execution assumptions and no mention of drawdown. That deserves every bit of the scepticism. The only real answer is: it is a record you can go through yourself, which is why the full trade list sits on every product page instead of a curated highlight.
02What actually changes hands
A compiled strategy
It installs into the backtest and runs on your machine against your broker. It executes; it does not explain itself.
A licence key tied to your machine
Activation is per machine and revocable. That is what makes distribution protected rather than a file passed around a group chat.
The full record behind it
Every trade in the record, with entry, exit, hold time and P&L, readable before you buy rather than after.
Updates while your licence is live
Parameter revisions and new builds as the research continues. V1 and V2 of the Standard algorithm are both on its product page.
What never changes hands
This is not only about protecting the business. An edge that gets published stops being an edge: once the rules circulate, the behaviour they exploit gets crowded and the returns decay for everyone still running it, including you. Keeping the logic closed is what keeps a licence worth holding.
03How the model works
- 01Systems are built and validated in house.
- 02Clients run them on their own accounts, at their own brokers.
- 03The logic stays protected. No source code changes hands.
- 04Clients keep account control and can stop at any time.
- 05GhostTrader earns through subscriptions and selective profit splits.
- 06Prop-firm evaluations let clients scale exposure without large live capital.
Pooling client capital is a regulated activity requiring structure, licensing, compliance, disclosure and reporting that GhostTrader does not currently hold. So it does not do it. Clients keep their own accounts instead, and the subscription functions as the access equivalent of a management fee.
04Why prop firms
Evaluation accounts are a capital-efficient way to deploy an edge. Rather than committing fifty or a hundred thousand of your own money, you pay an evaluation fee for access to a larger funded account, with your downside largely capped at that fee. That risk geometry is the entire appeal.
It is also where most people lose, because they overleverage and gamble without a system. Prop firms amplify whatever you already are. They are a vehicle for an edge, not a substitute for one.
05Why live capital too
Evaluation accounts are efficient, but live capital is what builds a credible long-term record: real capital, broker-verified from the first fill, recorded as it happens rather than reconstructed afterwards.
GhostTrader is the distribution side. The live track record is kept by a separate entity, on purpose — distribution and record-keeping are kept apart deliberately.
06How systems are validated
Plenty of algorithms are sold on a screenshot and a promise, with no sample size, no regime testing, no execution assumptions and no drawdown discussion. Every system here goes through the following before it is offered to anyone.
- Statistical validation
- Sample size and significance before a system is considered at all.
- Backtesting
- Across the full available history, not a flattering window.
- Stress testing
- Behaviour under hostile conditions rather than average ones.
- Regime testing
- Performance separated by market regime, so one regime cannot carry the record.
- Risk modelling
- Position sizing and exposure modelled explicitly, not assumed.
- Execution assumptions
- Commissions, slippage and realistic fills subtracted before any figure is published.
- Parameter stability
- Results must hold across neighbouring parameters, not sit on a single lucky setting.
- Drawdown analysis
- Depth, duration and recovery studied as first-class outputs.
- Forward validation
- Continued observation after deployment, because a backtest is a hypothesis.
07What this cannot do
No system is perfect. Drawdowns happen, losing months happen, and variance is not a malfunction. Published figures come from backtests, and a backtest is a hypothesis about the future, not a forecast of it. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
Futures and leveraged products carry a substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for every investor. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose. Nothing on this site is investment advice, and GhostTrader does not manage money on your behalf.
Full risk disclosure →08Why there is a community
The Discord is not a checkout queue. The point is a group of people who think about markets properly — who understand sample size, drawdown, execution and position sizing — rather than chasing the next signal. It is open whether you buy or not.
